Step one:
Block out the figure of your subject... not really hard... pay attention to shapes, gestures, etc...
Step two:
Fill in the detailed form of your subject... Tedious, and you may end up redrawing several parts... for the most part, if you aren't using a live model, you're probably going to be drawing pseudo-nude, and add the clothes afterward... Clothes fit the person, but the person can't always fit the clothes... People don't walk around with ironed creases in their legs and hang their arms at exactly 35 degrees from vertical... That said, this step can be difficult or easy..... but it's the next step that kills me...
